Spring!

We are finally experiencing spring like weather for the first time officially this year. The high today will be 48 with a low tonight of 24 ( brrr). Blue Skies

Today the sun is out and the birds are singing loudly after the "big" snow storm. Overall we gathered about 7 inches of snow. It's not the 2' we were hoping for, but it works just fine. There is a winter storm watch in effect for this area of the Sierras from Saturday through Sunday, with 1-2' of snow possible for elevation 5,000' and higher. Today is a beautiful sunny day here at Montecito. We have a high of 54 and a low of 34. Snow conditions are slushy towards the afternoon and icy in the evening. Tonight will be cloudy.

Today is a wonderful winter day. The high will be 40F with a low tonight of 17F.The week overall looks like it will be clear during the day and very clear at night, perfect for some Sierra Nevada star gazing. All trails have been recently groomed. The roads are open!

Chilly...

Today is partly cloudy and chilly. Ski and snowshoe conditions are wonderful. As of 8AM 25km of trails have been groomed. Today is a great day to be outside and enjoying the brisk weather of winter.

Frigid!

Today is a mighty cold one! The high is going to get up to a hot 33F. The skies are a crystal clear blue and 15 km of trails have been freshly groomed. The road is still closed so please continue to call for escort times.

Fresh Snow

Yesterday we received about 8"of fresh powdery snow. The temperatures are cold, so the snow is in excellent condition for cross country skiing. As of this morning 15km of trails have been freshly groomed. The road is closed to the lodge, so please call the front desk for escort times.

There is rumors of snow, but as of 8:30Am it is clear and sunny. There is a wind coming from the south, it is expected to reach around 20mph later today. Snow conditions are a bit icy but are expected to get better by 10Am.

Looks like rain!

This morning clouds are gray above us and it looks like we will be getting showers all day long and possibly into the night. It is a bit breezy so watch out for flying debris in the air, or on the roads. The high will up around 41F with a low of 34. If its gets cool enough we will have snow.
